Pennify Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Pennify iPhone app, its widgets, Siri integration and the Pennify Telegram bot (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Oleksandr Tymoshenko, sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine) ("we"). By installing the app or creating a profile, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Pennify is

1.1. Pennify is a personal budgeting tool. You enter your accounts, balances, income, debts, monthly spending plan and actual expenses yourself; the app calculates what's left, shows reports and sends payment reminders.
1.2. The Service does not connect to banks, does not initiate payments, does not store card details and does not move money. Every amount in the app is a record you entered.
1.3. The Service is not financial, tax or investment advice. You make your own financial decisions.

2. Your profile

2.1. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive your account identifier and email (or Apple's private relay email).
2.2. You are responsible for the security of your device and your Apple/Google account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access: support@pennifybudget.app.
2.3. The Service is intended for people aged 16 and over.

3. Free trial, subscription and Lifetime

3.1. Free trial. A new profile gets 34 days of full access for free, with no card required. When the trial ends, paid features become unavailable unless you subscribe or buy Lifetime. There is no automatic charge after the trial.
3.2. Always free: accounts and transfers, debts, income and monthly planning.
3.3. Paid features: expense and debt-payment tracking, reminders on iPhone and in Telegram, history editing, widgets and Siri, reports.
3.4. Options and prices: Monthly — $2.99 per month; Yearly — $19.99 per year; Lifetime — $49.99 one-time. Prices may vary by App Store country and taxes; Apple shows the final price before you pay.
3.5. Payment is processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive or store payment details.
3.6. Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the new period starts.
3.7. Cancellation. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the app (Profile → Access → Manage subscription). After cancelling, access continues until the end of the paid period.
3.8. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.
3.9. Billing problems. If Apple can't collect a renewal payment, paid features stay available for 3 more days while Apple retries. After that they are paused until the payment succeeds.
3.10. Lifetime is a one-time purchase of all paid features with no time limit for your Apple account. If you have an active subscription, buying Lifetime doesn't cancel it automatically — turn off auto-renew in Apple settings.
3.11. Restore purchases: Profile → Access → Restore purchases.

4. Your data

4.1. The records you enter are yours. We process them only to run the Service: storage, sync between your devices and reminders. See the Privacy Policy.
4.2. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Calculations (balances, reports, debt schedules) are based on your records and may differ from your bank's data.

5. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the Service, bypass access restrictions, send automated bulk requests, decompile the app (except where the law allows), use the Telegram bot to send unrelated messages, or infringe anyone's rights.

6. Availability

We aim for uninterrupted operation but don't guarantee it. The app works offline; sync and Telegram reminders need a connection. Updates and maintenance may cause interruptions.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, missed payments or decisions made based on data in the app.
7.2. Reminders are a helper feature: iOS, device settings or Telegram may delay or block delivery. You remain responsible for paying your obligations on time.
7.3. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

8. Deleting your profile

8.1. Delete your profile in the app (Profile → Delete profile) or by emailing support@pennifybudget.app. Your profile and all its data are permanently deleted from our servers and synced devices, and from backups within 14 days.
8.2. Deleting your profile doesn't cancel an Apple subscription — turn off auto-renew separately (section 3.7).
8.3. After deletion you can sign up again as a new user.
8.4. We may restrict access for a material breach of these Terms, with prior notice where possible.

9. Changes

We'll announce material changes in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. Disputes are first resolved by negotiation, then by the competent court under Ukrainian law. This doesn't limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

11. Apple terms

The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
